Winemaker's tastingnotes
Loaded with bright cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, and ripestrawberry flavors this wine has a great full-bodied mouthfeelwhich combines elegance and power. The finish is smooth andpersistent leaving trademark mountain terroir.

Wine and foodpairing
A perfect complement to traditional cuisine as well as simple,lighter fare such as soft cheese, grilled and roastedmeat and vegetables; think mushroom pizza!

Grapesource
Our Pinot Noir is grown in Christian's Vineyard in the Diamond Minearea, named so in reference to the semiprecious stones referred toas "Lake County Diamonds". At 1,700 feet above sea levelChristian's is the highest vineyard block on our ranch. It isnaturally farmed, meaning we use no pesticides or herbicides and wedo not till the soil.

Vinification
The Pinot is our first red to be harvested every year and we giveit only the best treatment when the fruit arrives at the winery. Itis sorted twice, once before, and once after de-stemming; then itis transferred into one of our stainless steel tanks for a slowcool fermentation. After pressing, the wine is aged in French oakbarrels for 6 months in our cave before bottling
